So you've played Hero RPG on a different site and you want to keep playing the game with its new updates but the site your profile is on doesn't get the updates, well all hope is not lost, in fact you are in luck because it is very possible to transfer your saved profiles from one site, to another (such as mine, with an updated version of the game). The process of transfering may seem a little complicated but it really is quite simple. All we are doing is transfering .sol files.

.sol is the file extension to Flash's shared objects, which is what holds your save/load data. When you save a game in Flash these files get created somewhere in a #SharedObjects folder somewhere deep in your hard drive. On my Mac, my #SharedObjects folder is found here:

Users/michaelneumann/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#Shared Objects/

So how to find your previous .sol files is fairly simple. Hero RPG creates up to 4 different .sol files, file1.sol, file2.sol, file3.sol, and profiles.sol. (Files 1-3 correspond to which slot you saved in) So what you now need to do find your files:

What I did was simply run a search for profiles.sol, and I found it! (note that if you have several of these files, but are looking for files from a certain website such as addictinggames.com, then check to see the entire file path of the .sol file because there will be a folder contatining the name of the website somewhere in there)

Ok so if you can find your .sol files then what you need to do is copy and paste them onto your desktop, or somewhere where you can remember. Now to get these files into the game on my website what you should do is first: start a new game on my website and save it, this way you will be able to find your newly saved files with the search bar and then once you have located the .sol files from my site you can replace them with your other .sol files!

If you pulled this off corretly then you should be able to play your old-version of the game on my website and therefore be allowed to take full advantage of the updates!
