Bad Bandit Studios – The Beginning
I had been into animation since 8th grade and it was not until mid sophmore year that I got Flash. Then it wasn’t until the end of 2004 that I decided to publish my stuff onto the web along with the creation of my first game ‘One Man Wars’. So since it was my first time online I used a free hosting service called dhost.info which was actually a really good deal because you got a lot of space and features without having to pay or displayed advertisements. And at that point I didn’t know any HTML or other internet programming languages so I made it in flash. I really don’t think this site had many visitors other than family and friends but it was mostly a good learning experience.
Upgrading to HTML
It wasn’t but a few months later that I taught myself HTML and even took a class on HTML to redesign my website in HTML. This is also when I first got a forum running on the website thanks to a helpful tutorial I happened to run upon. This site got a little be more attention and along with Athalina RPG started bringing in visitors that became supporters of my advertisements that brought in a nice little sum of cash. But after high school was over, I decided that it was time to move on.
2007 – The Year of a New Website
So 2007 came around and the website was introduced to the world. The site was no longer centered around BadBanditStudios but also, TheBanditSociety. What happened was that I decided to learn PHP and MySql over the summer to recreate the website and put some dynamic content into the site. And I guess that is where I am right now, I’m looking for ways to continue to improve the site and make it better. It’s looking good.
